![]() ![]() In 1945, Truman appointed Eleanor Roosevelt as a member of the American delegation to the first session of the United Nations in an effort to send a signal to the many associations who wanted to have a role in the redefinition of the post-war democratic order. Keywords: Cross Border Cooperation, Saemaul Undong, Special Region of Yogyakarta, Gyeognsangbuk-Do Various factors such as economic, culture, historical experience also booster the cooperation. The last phase, the fourth one, still face a difficult path because of the limitation authority of the local government. By using cross border cooperation concept, this qualitative research found that these provinces has reached the third phase of cooperation process. ![]() This is the Korean system in developing rural area and has been adopted in 14 states until today. These provinces already cooperate for 10 years under various programmes cover by Saemaul Undong system. This research tend to analyze the cooperation between Special Region of Yogyakarta and Gyeongsangbuk-Do in the scope of rural development issue. The issues are such as environment, rural development, healthy, conflict rehabilitation, etc. The studies also covers various issues that needs multi-actor participation to resolve it. The specific role of this sub-state, such as province, district, and village or rural area, has been studied in various sector including in the concept of sister city and cross border cooperation. This capability could bring a positive and a negative impact within the state and toward international system. ![]() The scholars sees this entity could works beyond it's state in implementing their foreign policy. The role of sub-state is getting wider and strategic in achieving the national interest of the state. It also provides a detailed discussion of different aspects of economic evaluation of ecosystem services, wetland restoration, and public participation for improving wetland policies and governance. This study reviews the current status of different wetlands in India. Long-term sustainable management and use of wetlands necessitate active public participation from all sectors. Despite diligent conservation efforts, the global status of wetland security is still alarming. Challenges like wetland loss and degradation, declining freshwater resources, and probable consequences of climate change have attracted significant scientific and public attention towards wetland conservation and restoration. According to recent studies, wetland ecosystems provide the maximum service value per area by playing a significant role in regulating and purifying water supplies, controlling flood, acting as carbon-sinks, and sustaining human lives and livelihoods. Ecosystem services include conditions and processes that make up natural ecosystems and the species present therein. ![]()
